Our Story
Welcome to Saptapadi Restaurant - A Culinary Seventh Heaven
Saptapadi Restaurant is more than just a place to dine; it's a journey into the heart of Bengali culture and cuisine. Often referred to as the "Seventh Heaven" by food enthusiasts and connoisseurs, Saptapadi offers a delightful escape from the mundane, grey routines of daily life. Inspired by the evergreen Bengali film "Saptapadi," the restaurant embodies the rich cultural heritage and nostalgic flavors that are synonymous with Bengali cuisine.
A Culinary Odyssey Since 2011
The journey of Saptapadi began in 2011, when Chef Mr. Ranjan Biswas and Mr. Swarup Mondal opened the first outlet at 51 Bidhan Sarani. Their vision was to create a space where people could savour authentic Bengali dishes that celebrate the region's rich culinary traditions. This vision quickly resonated with food lovers, leading to the opening of a second outlet at G-40A, Baghajatin (Opposite Big Bazaar, Ganguly Bagan P.O.) on January 17, 2014. The consistent quality and innovative approach to traditional dishes have since propelled Saptapadi to further success, with additional branches at 49B Purna Das Road, Hindustan Park, and a flourishing outlet in Salt Lake, followed by an outlet outside Bengal in the Land of Lord Jagannath, Puri in Orissa.
